Terms of service

Terms of service

These terms apply to every order placed on eleva-home.co.uk. Please read them before you order. By placing an order you accept them.

1. Who you are contracting with

This website is operated by Eleva Home, 60 rue François 1er, 75008 Paris, France. Eleva Home is established in France and sells to consumers in the United Kingdom. You can reach us through the contact form, and we reply to every message within 2 working days.

These terms are written for consumers - people buying for purposes outside a trade, business, craft or profession. If you are buying for a business, the statutory consumer rights described below do not apply to you.

2. Our products

We sell storage and dressing furniture for the home. Photographs are for illustration and colours may look slightly different from one screen to another. Measurements are given in centimetres. Where a photograph shows items that are not included, the product description says what is in the box.

Some items are supplied flat-packed and need assembly. The product page says so, and the instructions are included in the box.

3. Prices

  • All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include all taxes.
  • Free UK delivery on every order. There is no minimum spend and no condition attached, so the price shown on the product page is the price you pay.
  • You will not be asked to pay any customs charge, import duty or handling fee when your parcel is delivered.
  • Prices can change, but a change never affects an order we have already confirmed.
  • If a price is obviously wrong - for instance through a typing error - we will contact you before dispatch and you can either confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

4. Placing an order

Adding an item to your basket is not an order. Your order is made when you complete the checkout and pay. We then send you a confirmation email, which acknowledges receipt. The contract between us is formed when we send you the dispatch email.

We may refuse an order if the item is no longer available, if we could not take payment, if we suspect fraud, or if we cannot deliver to your address. If we refuse an order we tell you why and refund anything you have paid.

5. Payment

You pay in full at the time of ordering, using one of the payment methods shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment providers over an encrypted connection. We never see or store your full card number.

6. Delivery

  • We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only.
  • Free UK delivery on every order.
  • Delivered in 8 to 15 working days. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays.
  • Orders are dispatched by our partner suppliers. We will always deliver within 30 days of your order at the latest. If we cannot, you may cancel and we will refund you in full.
  • The goods are our responsibility until they are delivered to you.

Our Shipping policy gives the full detail, including tracking, damaged parcels and lost parcels.

7. Cancellation and refunds

  • You have 14 days from the day you receive your order to tell us you wish to cancel, and a further 14 days to send the goods back.
  • We refund you within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or within 14 days of you giving us proof that you have sent them, whichever happens first.
  • If you change your mind, you pay the direct cost of returning the goods to us. If the item is faulty, damaged in transit or not as described, we pay.

Our Refund policy gives the full procedure, including the cases where the right to cancel does not apply.

8. Your rights if something is wrong

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the goods we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not:

  • within 30 days of delivery you can reject them and ask for a full refund;
  • after that you can ask for a repair or a replacement, and if that fails, for a price reduction or a refund.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits those rights.

9. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or for loss suffered in the course of a business.

We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breach of your legal rights over the goods.

10. Using this website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. The text, photographs, illustrations, logos and page layouts belong to us or to our licensors and may not be reproduced without our written permission. We do our best to keep the website available, but we do not promise that it will be free of interruptions.

11. Your personal information

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy policy, the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published on this website at the time you placed it.

13. Events outside our control

If an event outside our reasonable control delays your delivery, we will tell you as soon as we can and do what we reasonably can to limit the delay. If the delay is substantial, you may cancel and receive a full refund.

14. Complaints and applicable law

If something goes wrong, write to us through the contact form with the word COMPLAINT in your message. We will give you a final written answer within 10 working days. You can get free independent advice from Citizens Advice at citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the country you live in.
